Stiftung Reinbeckhallen announces:
Residency Program 2020
Established in 2017, the Stiftung Reinbeckhallen is at once dedicated to promoting art, culture and education and developing its own collection of contemporary art. Its program experiments with ways of presenting modern and contemporary art and invites its visitors to contemplate current issues while establishing a clear dialogue between the past, present, and future. Often collaborating with diverse individuals, groups and institutions from around the globe, its central objective is to maintain an openness in regards to its program and to embrace innovative exhibition formats and curatorial practices.
The Stiftung Reinbeckhallen is hosted by the Reinbeckhallen, an event space and cultural center located in a former AEG transformer factory in Schöneweide, Berlin. Several established and emerging artists have their studios in and around the Reinbeckhallen.
The aim of the Stiftung Reinbeckhallen’s residency program is to offer artists, particularly visual and performance artists, free space and the support of a professional team to help develop their artistic projects.
The idea is to support the development of projects that deal with a wide and open range of themes, with a special focus on translocality and transculturalism.
